Carrot: The Shopping Cart Organizer of Your Dreams

August 18, 2022 | Reviews, Software

Carrot shopping cart app

Carrot is a free visual bookmarking platform, built for shoppers. Folks familiar with the Pinterest extension may see some overlap, but only so far as the ability to save items from across the web. Where Pinterest is all about finding inspiration, Carrot is about finding the thing you want to purchase from the place you want to purchase it from.

Our users tell us that Carrot is the easiest way yet to organize and track their online shopping. Carrot automatically saves any item users add to cart, so those high intent items never get lost, and both the extension and companion iOS app allow other modes of saving products from any website or mobile app, so that you can get back to them later (plus, saved items are synced to your account and available on any device).

All of those saved products are then organized into a single feed, and easily turned into visual collections for any occasion. Some of the most popular collection themes are home furnishings, gift ideas, clothing for weddings, vacations, back to school, and tracking product recommendations from Reddit or YouTube.

It’s sort of like Amazon Wishlists, but for the entire internet (and for many folks, it’s a tool they use to shop Amazon less). Users can easily share collections, invite others to collaborate on them, or turn them into wishlists where others can “claim” items from the list. And Carrot users will also see price drop alerts for items they’ve saved whenever a lowered price is detected.

Add Carrot to Google Chrome

It’s free and easy to use, available in the Chrome Store and Apple App Store.
