Marko Manev is a phenomenally-talented graphic designer with a unique style and an impressive clientele list. Officially-licensed and often commissioned, Manev creates rich, vibrant visual experiences using silhouettes and subtle shading. However, his most recent work for Solo: A Star Wars Story (these gorgeous variant IMAX posters) isn’t his first time creating stunning Star Wars silhouette artwork.
Playing with color and texture, Manev creates incredible visual landscapes with every piece of art he designs. Notably, his composition, lighting effects, and smart use of shapes elevate his designs to an epic scale. Moody and unmistakable, Marko Manev’s artwork is utterly impressive.
Not to mention, Manev’s list of clients and brands include some heavy hitters: Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, Paramount, Disney. His style is distinctive and desirable, so it is no wonder studios would officially-license and commission his artwork. In fact, magazines like Wired and The New Yorker have commissioned Manev for his unique style.
Nevertheless, Manev still finds time to work on personal passion projects. One, in particular, is an ongoing series of film-noir style Star Wars silhouette designs. These designs evoke a sense of awe: Selective focus, depth of field, and beautiful lighting techniques make for highly stylized, atmospheric scenescapes.
